OUR HERITAGE & ETHOS
The Soul of Batch & Loom
Batch & Loom was founded in Austin, Texas, born out of an enduring reverence for generational textile arts, vibrant folk aesthetics, and slow, intentional living. We believe clothing and home textiles should carry character, evoke joy, and stand apart from anonymous industrial production.

What ‘Batch’ Represents
In an industry driven by endless cycles of fast fashion and overstocked warehouses, our Batch philosophy is a deliberate pause. We curate and release our garments in disciplined, limited-run batches. When a batch sells out, we honor the community of craftspeople who made it rather than rushing low-grade replicas into the supply chain. This approach eliminates unnecessary retail waste and ensures that every piece hanging in your closet feels rare, cherished, and personal.
What ‘Loom’ Represents
The Loom is the timeless instrument of human connection across civilizations. We partner with artisan cooperatives and heritage weavers who transform raw, unadulterated cotton, gauze, silk, and Merino wool into living textiles. From hand-stitched pick-lapels and folk floral embroideries to hand-tied tassel cords and intricate beadwork, our pieces carry the unmistakable warmth of the human touch.
Our Three Core Commitments
- Fair Artisan Partnerships: We believe exceptional textiles begin with fair compensation. We work exclusively with workshops that respect living wages, humane working conditions, and dignity for generational weavers.
- Honest, Natural Fibers: We prioritize breathable, skin-friendly natural fibers—including 100% natural cottons, textured airy gauze, fine Merino wool blends, and plant-based dyes.
- Conscious Texas Fulfillment: Every order is hand-inspected, wrapped in plastic-free recycled tissue, and shipped from our central Austin, Texas studio in recyclable, compostable packaging.
“We don’t design for fleeting seasons. We curate vibrant pieces that become your trusted companions for sunsets, celebrations, and slow Sunday mornings.”
